(GMA NEWS) MANILA — A Chinese national facilitated ex-Bamban mayor Alice Guo’s escape from the Philippines before she was nabbed in Indonesia, according to Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada.The senators learned the individual’s name after they pressed Guo into revealing who helped her get out of the country.
“Tinanong ko ‘who facilitated your escape?’ Ayaw niya sabihin for security reasons, pinilit ko, pinilit namin [na] isulat sa papel. Ang sagot niya sana huwag banggitin,” Estrada said Monday in TeleRadyo Serbisyo’s Johnson Ikwento Mo.

The senator also said that the name given to them is a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO) boss.
“‘Yung pangalan na dineclare niya sa papel ay boss ng mga POGO… Chinese national,” Estrada said.
When asked if the individual would be subpoenaed on the next Senate hearing, the senator said he thinks those people are already out of the country.
