Jinggoy Estrada lauds Marcos firm West Philippine Sea stance

(POLITIKO) Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada has lauded the commitment made by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in upholding the country’s territorial claims over the West Philippine Sea (WPS).

“Atin ang West Philippine Sea,” stressed Estrada.

The senator pointed this out after the President made the same declaration during the third State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday (July 22).

“I am proud to hear the President reaffirm his firm stance on defending our country’s territorial and sovereign rights in the West Philippine Sea,” Estrada said.

“His unwavering commitment provides strong assurance in protecting our national interests and sovereignty,” he added.

With this, Estrada said he joins the President in strengthening the country’s military and coast guard forces who continue to safeguard the country and thwart those who attempt to steal the territory.
