(POLITIKO) Senator Jinggoy Estrada paid his respects to his best friend, the late actor Rudy Fernandez, on Wednesday.
Estrada visited Fernandez’s final resting place at the Heritage Park in Taguig City. The heartwarming gesture took place on All Saints’ Day.
Fernandez, an acclaimed film actor and producer, passed away on June 7, 2008. He was 55.
In an Instagram post, Estrada shared his thoughts about his friendship with Daboy and the importance of remembering loved ones during the Undas holiday.
“Hindi rin natin makakalimutan dalawin ang puntod ng aking best friend, Rudy “Daboy” Fernandez dito sa Heritage Park ngayong #undas2023,” the senator said in an Instagram post.
He went on to ask his followers: “Kayo, naka dalaw na ba kayo sa inyong mga yumaong mahal sa buhay?”
Earlier, the senator visited his departed relatives at the cemetery in Zambales.
“Binisita natin ang puntod ng aking lola at lolo +Rufino Pimentel at Nanay +Manuela Fernandez, mga magulang ng aking ina, former First Lady at Senator Dra. Luisa “Loi” Ejercito-Estrada, sa Iba Municipal Cemetery sa Zambales ngayong All Saints’ Day. 🙏,” he said.
Prayers were also offered for the senator’s deceased loved ones at the San Juan cemetery.
“Ngayong #undas2023 ay hindi rin natin papalagpasin ang pagdalaw sa aking lolo Emilio at lola Mary Ejercito dito sa San Juan cemetery at mag alay ng dasal para sa kanila 🙏” Estrada said in another Instagram post.
