Congratulating and commending the Philippine National Barebow Archery Team for winning one (1) gold and two (2) bronze medals in the Malaysia 2026 Barebow Asia Championship
This representation wishes to convey my warmest congratulations to our bemedalled athletes for their impressive debut and remarkable achievement at the 2026 Asia Barebow Championships recently held in Malaysia.
Reportedly just two months after the program’s launch by the World Archery Philippines, the Philippine team delivered a three-medal haul at what is considered as the largest barebow tournament with over 750 participants.
Our national archers displayed intense focus, precision, mental fortitude, and calmness under intense pressure moments.
Our Women’s Barebow National Team composed of Josephine Galicano, Rowena Galicano, Ma. Razel Rechilda Padilla-Abella and Isabel Naranjilla clinched the historic gold medal win against the host country.
Meanwhile, our Mens’ Barebow Team composed of Elizer Villarosa, Jr., Kenneth Marlowe Tan, Joseph Tan, and Apollo Clark Co took home the bronze medal.
Finally, Josephine Galicano and Elizer Villarosa, Jr. bagged another bronze in the Mixed Team event.
Pinatunayan nilang de-kalibre at world-class ang atletang Pilipino. Hindi nagpapahuli sa kahit anong larangan.
