Mr. President, this representation wishes to move for the termination of interpellation on the budget of the Office of the President as a show of institutional courtesy to a co-equal branch of the government, and to the President of the Republic who also happened to be a former member of this august chamber during the 15th and 16th Congresses.
This representation also wishes to place on record my full support to the proposed budget of the OP, with a P66.20 million increase introduced by our hardworking Chairperson of the Committee on Finance.
A considerable amount of the OP budget for fiscal year 2026 will be used for the hosting of the ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings next year.
If I may also spread into the records, the Office of the President received unmodified or unqualified opinion from the Commission on Audit for three consecutive years from 2022 to 2024.
