Mr. President, this representation wishes to place on record my warmest greetings and congratulations to the Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide, led by Representative Brother Eddie Villanueva and our Deputy Minority Leader Sen. Joel Villanueva on the celebration of its 47th founding anniversary.
For almost five decades, JIL has shepherded legions of Filipinos towards the path of compassion for others, integrity, and faithfulness. I am in awe of how the Church grew from a humble 15-person Bible study group to an influential ministry with global presence, and vast and still growing membership, a true testament to their dedicated leadership and the immense support for the admirable work that they do.
I pray that the Church will continue to reap success not only in its discipleship activities, but also in its humanitarian initiatives and contribution to nation-building, and in positively transforming the lives of Filipinos for many more years.
