Mr. President,
I am truly honored, at the same time deeply humbled, by the gesture of the Senate leadership, in particular, Senate President Chiz Escudero, who authored Proposed Senate Resolution No. 1372 commending this representation.
Nagpapasalamat ako hindi lang sa mayorya, kundi pati na rin sa minorya, sa pagkakataong manilbihan bilang inyong Senate President Pro Tempore para sa third regular session ng 19thCongress.
It is an honor to serve as this chamber’s Senate President Pro Tempore for a number of times already—in the 14th, 15th, and presently, in the 19th Congress. To be recognized by my fellow legislators—whom I hold in highest regard—is something that I will always treasure.
Iba-iba man ang ating pinanggalingang partido at paninindigan sa mga isyu, pinatutunayan ng Senadong ito na tayo ay nagkakaisa para sa layunin na maiangat ang antas ng pamumuhay ng ating mga kababayan.
Lastly, I share this commendation to all those who stood by me for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout this journey.
