US Defense Industry SRDP workshop in Manila: Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada explains before the attendees of the US Defense Industry SRDP Workshop the newly-signed Republic Act No. 12024, also known as the Self-Reliant Defense Posture Revitalization Act (SRDP) which aims to develop the country’s defense industry by creating ways to boost the local production of defense equipment. The event held at the US Embassy on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, likewise provided a platform for the US defense industry and local industry players on how they can support the government in achieving a robust and sustainable national defense capability, reducing dependence on foreign suppliers.
