(POLITIKO) Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada has urged ex-senator Panfilo Lacson to name the person who was allegedly approached by dismissed mayor Alice Guo with a P1 billion bribe.
“Kung ako si Senator Ping, i-divulge na lang niya ang pangalan kung sino ang nilapitan at in-offeran ng P1 billion. Napakalaking pera nun,” Estrada said in a DWIZ interview on Saturday (Sept. 14).
“Huwag na mag-guessing game,” he added.
Estrada was referring to the claim of former senator Lacson that the latter had a Filipino-Chinese trader friend – with contact to the First Family – who was approached by Guo about the offer.
Guo allegedly asked the trader if the latter could find a contact who could help her fix the multiple cases of human trafficking, money laundering, and graft cases against her since she was linked to illegal offshore gaming operations.
Estrada also urged Lacson to convince his friend to attend the next Senate hearings on the proliferation of illegal offshore gaming operations.
“Kung mayroon man siyang ganung kalaking pera, kaya niya talaga bilhin ang lahat ng gusto nyang suhulan,” Estrada said of Guo.
“Pero palagay ko, wala namang papayag na tumanggap ng ganung kalaki, dahil napaka-sensationalized nito. I advise Senator Lacson na i-divulge ang pangalan,” he added.
