(MANILA BULLETIN) Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, among others behind the film “Rewind,” were at the Senate recently.
They were honored there through Resolution No. 909 as issued by Senator Robin Padilla, as part of an effort to recognize the success of “Rewind,” now considered the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, earning 902 million pesos at the global box office.
“This achievement is a testament to the return of a vibrant and flourishing Philippine film industry — attributed to the hard work and commitment of artists, writers, directors and all members of the production teams,” Padilla said.
On the same day, the Senate passed on the third and final reading Senate Bill No. 2505 or the Eddie Garcia Bill, named after the veteran actor who passed away last 2019.
The bill’s co-authors are Padilla, Lito Lapid, Jinggoy Estrada, Bong Revilla and Grace Poe.
