In his privilege speech Wednesday, January 24, 2024, Estrada cited a recent survey showing that Filipinos are more concerned about controlling inflation than altering the country’s charter. “Why does there seem to be a rush to tinker with our Constitution?” Estrada asked. “The citizens of this nation deserve a transparent and accountable process, not a rushed attempt to push through changes that could have far-reaching consequences,” he stressed.
