(ABANTE) Umalma ang mga senador sa exclusive report ng Politiko.com.ph na siyam na senador daw ang gustong ibalik ang P625 milyong confidential fund ni Vice President Sara Duterte sa 2024 budget.
Tumayo sa bulwagan ng Senado si Senador Jinggoy Estrada para kuwestiyunin kung bakit lumabas sa Politiko.com.ph, sister company ng Abante/Tonite na siya, kasama sina Sen. Robin Padilla, Christopher ‘Bong’ Go, Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr., Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa, Manuel ‘Lito’ Lapid, Francis Tolentino, Cynthia Villar at Pia Cayetano ang sumusuporta sa pagbabalik ng confidential fund ni Vice President Sara Duterte kahit executive session o closed door ang pagpupulong.
“I wish to tell the people of the Philippines that there was no votation that happened yesterday with regard to the intelligence fund of the Vice President and DepEd. In fact, we had an executive session and I do not know who among our colleagues who scooped or leaked our conversation with this media outlet,” ani Estrada.
Iginiit naman ni Senador Francis Escudero na hindi nagkaroon ng leak kundi tsismis lang ang report.
Sinabi naman ni Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva na nasa ilalim ng Section 129 ng Senate Rules, sinumang senador na lumabag ay maaaring ma-expel sa Senado sa 2/3 votes ng lahat ng mga senador. (Dindo Matining)
