Financial aid to Elvie: Senator Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada has fulfilled his promise to provide financial assistance to Silvera “Elvie” Vergara, a kasambahay who accused her employers of severe battery and maltreatment. After appearing in the Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights hearing on her case on August 22, 2023, Vergara met with Estrada, who is also the father of the Batas Kasambahay Act.
