(POLITIKO) Former President Joseph Estrada had a major hit of nostalgia when he reunited with four former members of his Cabinet.
The reunion took place while attending a recent birthday party of the former president’s son, Senator Jinggoy Estrada.
In attendance were a few of Estrada’s old friends and colleagues including former Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno, former Finance Secretary Jose Pardo, former Press Secretary Atty. Mike Toledo, and former Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma.
Diokno and Laguesma are now serving in the Marcos administration. Diokno is Central Bank governor while Laguesma got his old labor portfolio back.
Photos obtained by Politiko.com.ph showed the priceless moment when Estrada, decked out in a red and white ensemble, beamed with joy while posing with his former Cabinet members. One of the photos shows businessman Gregg Araneta joining Estrada and his men.
The heartwarming affair left Estrada and his allies feeling nostalgic. The deep bond was formed during Estrada’s presidency from 1998 until 2001.
