Jinggoy Estrada to continue Erap’s pro-poor public service legacy in senatorial bid.

Veteran legislator and public servant Jinggoy Estrada shall once again foray into the upcoming 2022 senatorial race to pursue his pro-poor platforms especially now that the country continues to brave against the COVID-19 pandemic.

In his FB live announcement on Sept. 29, he declared his candidacy while emphasizing the importance of lifting the burden of the Filipino masses who have been bearing the negative impact of the pandemic.

He shall run under Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP), the political party founded by his father, Former President and Manila Mayor Erap Estrada.

Prior to his re-election bid, Jinggoy has served as Senate President Pro Tempore during the 14th and 15th Congresses, aside from chairing the Senate Committee on Labor, Employment and Human Resources Development.

Aside from having a perfect attendance, he was also revered authoring 617 legislative measures, including the Batas Kasambahay Law, Special Program for the Employment of Students and Public Employment Service Office Law. Likewise, he was also known as a valiant fighter for the causes and welfare of OFWs.
